The film ‘A call for arms: Community security and arms control in Darfur’, produced by Xchange Perspectives (XcP) for BICC, sheds light on the traditional-leader led approach to control arms, outlining different aspects of the initiative and how it benefits the people of Darfur.
Following last year’s successful launch of the theatre on stilts project ‘Merula’ in Kosovo, the team gathers again in July to advance their skills and stage a performance on August 1 and 2, a tale that places a couple of young heroes and dreamers in exile.
Xchange Perspectives (XcP) supported Weltfilme e.V. to implement the Juba Youth project in South Sudan. XcP and Weltfilme worked with five South Sudanese film-makers to produce fictional and documentary short films on issues affecting the youth and their way of living in South Sudan.
In 2012 XCP landed in Nepal for the first time, carrying out amazing activities, which bridged different worlds: East and West, young and old, students and teachers, the Deaf and the hearing.
In August, Xchange Perspective e.V. (XCP) launches a preliminary training in the run-up of the ‘Merula -- multilingual dialogic theatre on stilts in Kosovo’ project, which will commence in January 2014, if sufficient funding can be secured.
Xchange Perspectives (XCP) and its thirteen partners rally to bring the issues of street children up to the surface of Kenyan society and politics. This is an initiative to bring up the voice of Kenya’s street children so that their rights are no longer ignored. It as well aims at sharing knowledge and skills with some of the many street children in Kenya.
